Changes to Extension Stationery Billing Process

(Updated: March 30, 2021, 9:43 a.m.)

Administration recently made a change with Wolf Xpress that will affect how Extension envelope and letterhead orders by county centers are billed.

In 2016, when Extension launched its organizational rebranding effort, Extension administration agreed to pay for new envelope and letterhead orders out of our centralized budget. This was done to help counties easily transition to the new branded items while avoiding extra expenses for the counties. This was only meant to be a temporary measure.

Beginning February 2021, the Business Office has been charging these orders back to county commercial mail budgets. This is being done to allow us a better way to track what is being spent and where. We use the budget actual numbers to help determine the amount you will need in your budget for the following fiscal year.

The one exception to this is for newly hired employees. Dr. Bonanno has agreed to continue paying for the first box of business cards for new employees.

If your commercial mail budget is getting low before the end of the fiscal year, contact your district administrative associate; they can assist you in securing additional funds to cover the remainder of the year.
