How to Apply:- Outline your Extension employment history and Extension accomplishments (within the past five years, including impacts).
- Outline your higher education history.
- Describe:
- The professional development activities you have undertaken in the past five years.
- Future plans for professional development.
- Your professional accomplishments or awards as evidence of professional commitment within the past five years.
- The professional development experience you plan to participate in, if you receive this award.
- List the name and address of your local newspaper for press release notification.
- Enclose at least one Letter of Recommendation, preferably from your immediate supervisor.
Dr. Zaslow served as Extension Housing Specialist before being named District Extension Director of the South Central District. She was then selected to provide leadership for the Department of Family and Consumer Science and was named an Associate Director for Families and Youth. It is fitting that Dr. Zaslow’s fund is utilized to support agents who wish to further their profession by attending the national association meeting.
Applicants for the Dr. Sandra Zaslow Professional Development Award must be an outstanding agent with Family and Consumer Sciences responsibility who is a member of their state and national association. If the agent receives the award, he/she must utilize the award to attend the national meeting.
