Our partners at the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services have shared a helpful reminder about soil sample submissions — particularly those originating from our county offices. Their Soil Testing Lab relies on complete and accurate sample information to ensure timely service and reliable results for our clients.

As many of you know, Extension plays a key role in connecting homeowners and growers to this valuable resource. To help streamline processing and enhance our shared customer service, please take a few moments to review the Soil Sample Submission Requirements below. It outlines the information needed for each submission and offers guidance you can display or share with clients at your office.

In addition, if your office coordinates sample shipments to the lab, please make sure clients are aware of your delivery schedule so they know when to expect results. Maintaining clear communication helps manage expectations and reinforces the strong partnership between Extension and NCDA&CS.

Thank you for continuing to support this important collaboration and for the care you show every day in serving North Carolinians.

Sincerely,
David
