Collapse ▲Based on the most recent Executive Order #204 (Spanish version) on March 23, 2021, the mass gathering limit, which covers many of the county meetings and activities with which Extension is involved, have been increased.
The mass gathering limits have increased to 50 indoors (previously 25) and 100 outdoors (previously 50).
Please also see updated guidance specifically for Extension 4-H Livestock Shows and Sales, as they have some rules unique to these events.
We still have the ability to go higher for meetings that are not “mass gatherings.” These higher numbers can only be used in a seated arrangement with 6-foot distances and masks. See EO 204 (pages 13 and 14).
This section allows up to 50% of the fire capacity of the space. For rooms or spaces without a stated fire capacity, the limit on guests is 12 people per 1,000 square feet, rounded up.
Please also make sure you have proper county (CED, DED) or campus (Extension/Research Exemptions) approval before proceeding. The same approval process that we had in place in 202o regarding work on farms, research stations, field labs, etc. is still in effect for this year:
