Judges evaluate 4-Her during her 4-H presentation at County Activity Day.

                            Wanted: 4-H Presentation & Talent Show Judges

The New Hanover County 4-H Activity Day (CAD) is Saturday, May 21st from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the New Hanover County Extension and Arboretum.

Presentation Judges
This annual presentation event provides youth ages 5-18 the ability to become more comfortable speaking in groups and develops self-confidence. Topics will vary from dog care, geology, cooking, to chemistry.

Judges are needed to evaluate each presentation, offer constructive suggestions for improvement, and be consistent and fair in your evaluations. Judges will rate each presentation according to the 4-H guidelines.

A panel of three (3) judges per age group. Age group for presentations.
8-10 year old
11-13 year old
14-18 year old

Talent Show Judges
The Talent Show provides youth ages 8-18 to showcase their talents. Youth will develop poise and self-confidence, hone their skills, and become more comfortable performing in front of an audience. You will see a variety of acts from singing, keyboards, string instruments, to monologues.

Just like presentations, judges will evaluate each talent act on skill, content, entertainment value, and to create a well-rounded show. Evaluating each act using 4-H guidelines.

A panel of three (3) judges are needed for the Talent Show. Age categories are not used for the Talent Show.
