Newland, NC – N.C. Cooperative Extension, Avery County Center is excited to announce that two Avery County 4-H’ers, Tatum Hicks, and Logan McKinney, will be featured in the 2021 4-H Showcase of Talent. A special “thank you” to their instructor, Mr. Dwight Woody, for being instrumental in preparing them for this event.

Congratulations to all of the youth who submitted videos this year. There were 36 different acts across the state to choose from this year which made it very difficult to narrow it down to the 15 that were chosen.

The Showcase of Talent will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 4 p.m. during the National 4-H Week Kick-Off Event. Please be sure to register before Friday, October 1, 2021, by 9 p.m. The link for Sunday’s Kick-Off Event will be sent to those registered by that time.

Please pass the link along to the youth and their families, as well as others who may want to join us for our kick-off.

Again, congratulations to Avery County’s rising stars, Miss Tatum Hicks and Mr. Logan McKinney.
