watercolor of nasturtium flowers with 40 year anniversary textMany thanks to Beda Trenning-Helms, Extension Master Gardener volunteer, Union County, for creating this beautiful watercolor to commemorate our anniversary!

2019 marks the 40-year anniversary of the Extension Master Gardener program in North Carolina.

Because of Master Gardener volunteers, NC State Extension has been able to share research-based, up-to-date information and promote sustainable gardening practices to home gardeners across the state for 40 years!

One important source of funding that helps strengthen the Extension Master Gardener (EMG) program is the NC Extension Master Gardener Endowment. As the Endowment grows, the annual interest income it generates increases, enhancing our ability to support Master Gardener volunteer work statewide

Your generous support of the NC EMG program is greatly appreciated! Between January and November 2019, gifts to the endowment have totaled $9,655.

But we still have a ways to go. Our goal is to raise $40,000 to commemorate our 40th anniversary.

Can you give $10 today?

A gift of just $10 in honor of each NC Extension Master Gardener volunteer would meet this goal and help ensure the EMG program continues to grow and thrive for the next 40 years!

Please consider a tax-deductible, year-end gift to the NC Extension Master Gardener Endowment. A heartfelt thanks is extended to everyone who has already given!endowment contribution sources shown as small, medium, and large plants$1355 from individuals, $3300 from license plates, and $5000 from local EMG groups and associations.
