I’m excited to introduce a new video series, called Homegrown, that NC State Extension and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) have created to reconnect people with the food, landscapes and agriculture of North Carolina.
Homegrown was developed to showcase our Extension experts delivering targeted, research-based resources and instruction through short, engaging YouTube videos. The series offers “how-to” guidance and information in three main categories: In the Garden, In the Kitchen and On the Farm.
We need your expertise and participation for this series to be successful; in turn, Homegrown can introduce our people and programs to a broad statewide audience, create new opportunities and reaffirm Extension’s value.

Employee Resources & Homegrown Guidelines

We’ve developed a Standards & Guidelines page on the new Homegrown website, which provides employee resources and details that will help you promote the series and share segment ideas for future videos. A sampling of topics in this section include:
  • Video Guidelines
  • Goals & Objectives
  • Target Audiences
  • Sharing Your Ideas & Videos
  • Marketing Resources
Please review this information, then share ideas and topics using the contact form on the Homegrown site. The Homegrown team will share more employee resources soon, we look forward to telling your stories. Thanks for your time and support!
