2017 Pasquotank Farm Tour

The agricultural community is invited to attend the 2017 Pasquotank Farm Tour, which will be held on Thursday, August, 24th starting at 7:30 a.m. at the Pasquotank County Center with a sponsored breakfast. We will be making two stops. The corn variety trial on Body Road with Charles Gray and Sons and the soybean variety trial with Allen Weeks on Soundneck Road about 0.3 mile past the fire Station on the right going toward Glen Cove are the two stops of the tour. Since variety selection is a key part of any field crop farming operation, participants will be able to see the varieties first hand as well as have the benefit of the yield data this fall. Three presenters from NC State as well as agribusiness representatives will be present to share information.
Pesticide credits for certain commercial and private (farmer) pesticide applicators are being applied for as well. Below is the agenda for the field day and a link to take you to a map for the tour. If you plan to attend, please contact the Pasquotank Extension Center at 252-338-3954.

Pasquotank Farm Tour is a traveling field day that highlights on-farm tests, trials and demonstrations that address crop production issues which growers and other members of the farming community need information.

One of the stops on the 2017 Pasquotank Farm Tour is our corn variety trial with Charles Gray & Sons on Body Rd as seen in this picture from a previous farm tour.
