Extension Organizational Development Team Expands
One of NC State Extension’s primary Vision Plan goals was to enhance staff retention and expertise. Within that, we committed to employ and empower the best people; enhance onboarding for new employees; and enhance employee expertise and job satisfaction by providing dynamic training needed to do our jobs, engage with the organization and be successful.
I am very pleased to announce that we have hired an additional Extension Organizational Development (EOD) leader to help us achieve our goals in this area. Please help me welcome Dr. Donna Vigil-King to Extension.
Her email is firstname.lastname@example.org and she starts on Monday, February 6, 2017.
Dr. Vigil-King has a wealth of experience as a talent and organizational development professional, with 15+ years of experience building talent, teams and organizations with her strong implementation, change management and partnering skills. She is a people-first practitioner who focuses on solutions, so we know she will fit right in with Extension.
Donna has a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology and statistics from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She is also an ICF Certified Executive Coach with an Executive Coaching Certificate from Georgetown University, as well as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
Donna will report to me as director of county operations, and her main focus area will be enhancing current programs such as our onboarding, mentoring, new professionals, and new and aspiring CED trainings, as well as building new programs, capacity and functionality for us in county operations. She will work with me and Dr. Barbara Board, Dr. Mary Lou Addor, Lindsey Clark and the DEDs and RPCs to move our organization to the next level, and will collaborate with Dr. Rhonda Sutton in her new role as well.
I couldn’t be more excited for the fresh new perspective and depth of skills and knowledge Donna will bring for all of Extension.
